The AFA United MEC Benefits Committee is happy to announce the offering of Voluntary Supplemental Insurance benefits for United Flight Attendants. New for 2018, United Flight Attendants will now have the option of selecting Voluntary Supplemental Insurance options from two brokers - Design Benefits and National Group Protection. Both brokers offer a variety of policies to meet your needs.
Flight Attendants will be able to sign-up during the open enrollment period in one of three ways:
- In the domicile
- On-line via the brokers' online enrollment portal
- Via telephones calls with the brokers' representatives.
Voluntary insurance plans include:
- Group Voluntary (Short Term) Disability Income
- Critical Illness with Cancer
- Cancer Policy
- Group Voluntary Accident Insurance
- Group Hospital Indemnity Coverage
- Life Insurance
Click on either of the broker's "Visit Website" buttons for available policies, coverage details and rates. For your convenience, policy premiums will be payroll deducted.
